Every once in a while, an issue may be discovered in Data360 Analyze. In order for us to best help you, we sometimes must request a copy of your log files. The following directions outline how to collect these files when using the Data360 Analyze Desktop edition:
- Navigate to %LocalAppData%\Data360Analyze\site in Windows Explorer. While there are a number of ways to do this, the easiest is to go to Start->Run, place "%LocalAppData%\Data360Analyze\site" (without the quotes) into the Run box that appears, and press Enter. Alternatively you can paste the path into the address bar in Windows Explorer. In either case the path should resolve to the equivalent of C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Data360Analyze\site
If you installed the Data360 Analyze software using the 'All Users' option the log files will be located under the C:\ProgramData\Data360Analyze directory. Note that the ProgramData directory is hidden by default in Windows Explorer.
- In the Explorer window that appears, make a copy of the "logs" directory.
- Zip up the copy of that directory. NOTE: If you zip up the original directory, you may not get all the files!
After the logs are zipped, you can upload them to your ticket. If the logs are too large to attach (20MB or greater), let us know and we'll create a private SFTP site instead.
