In this article, there will be an extensive explanation on creating data-sets for your initial setup into ACR/Summary and ACR/Detail.
While inside the ACR application click 'Setup' and then select 'Initial Setup' from the secondary dialogue box.
In this next dialogue box, here is where you will name your respective datasets. Take note of the exact names placed here, as you will not be able to change the name or locate the library if there is a single character off.
In the next dialogue box, you will confirm and allocate your library names using an 'S' for a confirmation on the left hand side. Please note you, will also need to specify the number of primary and secondary tracks for each listed library. Please also ensure to specify your unit name per your organization settings.
Next we will complete the space designation of the report file defaults. Please ensure you have the correct Unit and volume listed, or this could create more issues further into the initial setup.
In the next dialogue box, we will then add your designated Job card. Please ensure all of the fields are accurately filled out, or when you attempt to submit JCL to confirm settings, the job would fail.
In the next dialogue box, we would then specify the Library information of your history and definition libraries. This should have been auto populated based on step number 2 in this article.
In the next dialogue box, you should specify your libraries and space constraints foe your database initialization JCL.
In the next dialogue box, you should arrive at the JCL submittal screen. Upon completion of this job, and a condition code of '0' your specified above settings should be created.
Once the JCL above runs successful, you should be able to located the specified files in this location.
