Insight 9.1 enhancements include:
Idle Controls Report
The Idle Controls Report displays information about the controls that are not
executed for a specific time period. Users can generate the Idle Controls
Report based on Controls, Control Groups, or Control Views. The report
displays the control name, product type, and the last date and time when the
control was run.
This increases the usability by allowing users to take appropriate actions based
on the non-executed controls displayed in the report.
View Assure Control Definition Report in Infogix Insight
Users can view the Infogix Assure Control Definition Reports for any control in
Control View. The ‘Reports’ tab displays a link to the Control Definition Report
that is attached to the control execution. Users can double-click the Control
Definition Report or select the report and click ‘View Report’ to view the
report. Users can export the report as a PDF or a Text file or print the report.
This increases the usability by allowing users to obtain a better view of the
Infogix Assure controls in Infogix Insight.
Add Text Color in Column Color Rules and Group Color Rules in Item Value Analytics (IVA) Component
When defining color rules (Column Color Rules and Group Color Rules), a new
color picker icon appears where users can set the font color. Users can click
the second color picker icon and select a color for the foreground text in the
table cell. The font color in IVA Component is black by default.
By providing users the ability to change the font color, data in the IVA
Component will be much easier to view and will provide better usability when
working with large data volume.
Single or Multiple Rows Selection in Item Value Analytics (IVA)
Component
Users can select a row or multiple rows in IVA Component by clicking the
desired row.
This helps users to keep track of the selected rows when navigating through
large number of rows in the IVA Component.
Toggle the Alternative Row Color in Item Value Analytics (IVA) Component
Users can toggle the alternative row color in the IVA Component by clicking the
‘Toggle’ button. Each row alternates by default from white to blue within an
IVA Component. If a user selects a cell to have a custom color that is the same
as the default row color (blue), it can make visualization difficult when
analyzing data.
This helps users to avoid data misrepresentation when working with large data
volume within the IVA Component.
Validate Inbound Users when Saving a New Information Source
A warning pop-up message is displayed when an invalid inbound user name is
entered before saving an information source.
This improves the usability when creating information sources in Infogix Insight.
Ability to Remain on the Same Screen After Saving the Changes
Users can remain on the same tab within the screen after editing and saving
changes for existing objects in the Controls, Control Groups, and Control Views
screen.
This improves the usability when users have to make multiple changes in the
Controls, Control Groups, and Control Views screen.
Performance Improvement – Definition Loader for Assure Controls
As per the existing design, the control name filtering in the definition loader
screen fetches all the controls from Assure and then filters the control names
in Insight. This process may take a long time when there are many controls.
As per the new design, the control name filtering is done in Assure when
fetching the controls and only the filtered controls are loaded into Insight using
definition loader.
This improves the system performance when loading large number of controls.
Performance Improvement – Loading Control Groups and Control Views
Lazy loading functionality has been implemented when loading data in
different tabs in the Control Groups and Control Views screens.
This improves the system performance when loading large data volume in
Control Groups and Control Views.
Custom Views and Custom View Components Audit
Creation, deletion, and modification activities related to Custom Views and
Custom View Components object types are displayed in the Audit Trail Report.
This allows users to track and monitor the activities related to Custom Views
and Custom View Components.
Consistent Display of ‘Export to Excel’ Icon in All Screens
The ‘Export to Excel’ icon is displayed consistently across all the screens in
Infogix Insight.
This improves the usability by allowing all ‘Export to Excel’ icons to be
consistent for usage.
Infogix Assure and Infogix ACR Data Values are Retained in Infogix Insight
For the Assure control executions, the decimal values that were previously
dropped for the 'Value' and 'Difference' data columns are now displayed in
Insight.
For the ACR control executions, the decimal values that were previously
dropped for the ‘Tolerance’ data column are now displayed in Insight
This provides a better usability of transferred data between Infogix Assure or
Infogix ACR and Infogix Insight.
Updated Insight Product Logo
The Insight product logo in multiple screens within Insight has been updated for
consistent branding with the other Infogix products.
This provides a better visual of the Infogix Insight product logo.
New Software Supported
- IBM® WebSphere® 9.0.0.4 is supported.
- Microsoft® SQL Server® 2016 is supported.
- Only Java® 8 is supported
Java 8 Support
Only Java 8 is supported for IBM® WebSphere® 8.5.5.x, WebSphere 9.0.0.4,
and WildFly 10.1.0 Application Servers.
Java 7 is no longer supported
Infogix products on release 9.1 support only Java 8 version.
WildFly Deployments only Support mod_cluster for Load Balancing
In releases prior to 9.0 that used JBOSS application server, Infogix product
deployments supported mod_jk for load balancing.
However, Infogix releases that support WildFly 10.1.0 application servers
require that you use mod_cluster for load balancing. Load balancing using
mod_jk is no longer supported.
See http://mod-cluster.jboss.org/ for more information about mod_cluster
configuration.
Store Product Configuration Files in the Database
Infogix products use several configuration properties to control the behavior of
the products. The configuration properties are stored in files found within the
CONFIG_HOME directory.
The 9.1 release now supports the storage of configuration properties within the
database instead of flat files.
By default, the configuration files are stored in the CONFIG_HOME directory. To
store the configuration files in a database table instead of the filesystem, set
the value of ENABLE_DATABASE_CONFIG property to true in the
advanced.appserver.properties file.
You can modify the values of these properties from the Infogix Administrative
Console’s “Product Configuration” link. Any updates to the product properties
take immediate effect, and eliminates the need for a server administrator to
run update-config.bat (.sh) script.
Note: For Infogix ER only, do not enable the feature to store the properties in
the database if you use custom plugins.
Enhancements to Embedded Directory Deployments
Infogix supports product deployments using Embedded Directory, where the
management of users accessing the products is managed within the product.
Several security, audit and reporting enhancements have been added to
Embedded Directory deployments in this release.
Show Users “Created Date” and “Last Login” Information
Directory Administrators and Superusers can now visually view when a user id
was created in the system. Information about the users’ last logged in date and
time is also displayed. Go to Security -> Users page to view the users’ “Created
Date” and “Last Login” information.
This capability enables the administrators to easily identify unused or outdated
accounts for maintenance and compliance purposes.
Enable Users to Reset their Passwords
In prior releases, embedded directory users did not have the ability to reset
their forgotten password. They had to contact Directory Administrators or
Superusers to reset their password. Users now have the ability to reset their
forgotten password. From the product login page, click “Forgot Password?”
link. Enter your user id and its associated email address. An email with a link to
reset your password is sent to the registered email address. Appropriate error
messages are displayed when the information specified does not match the
actual information in the database.
Infogix Administrative Console Improvements
The administrative console enables users to gather and provide information to
Infogix Customer Support for use in troubleshooting run-time problems.
View Log Files in Real-time
In prior releases, users did not have the ability to view the contents of the log
files in real-time. From the Infogix Administrative Console, select “Config/Log
Files” link. Select a log file, click “View File”. In the log viewer screen, click
“Enable Running Log” to view the contents of the logs in real-time.
Update Product Licenses
You can now update the product license from the Infogix Administrative
Console if you have enabled the feature to store the product configuration
properties in the database (ENABLE_DATABASE_CONFIG=true).
Contact Infogix Customer Support to get an updated license file upon license
expiration or product renewal.
From the Infogix Administrative Console, select “Update License” link.
Select “Choose File”, and browse to select the updated license file.
Select “Update” to apply the licensing updates.
