ACR/Detail 4.8 enhancements include:
Allow Three Additional Debug Reports to be Set Online in Reports Menu
Print Extracted Data Detail Report, Print Sorted/Accumulated Data Detail Report, and Print History Data Detail Report are available, and can be set online using the debug reports section under the Reports menu.
This enhancement is applicable to ACR/Detail for IBM i only.
Rewrite History Do Not Issue MCH Error Message
The Rewrite History option is not available on IBM i. When a user erroneously turns on the Rewrite History option, MCH3401 message is no longer issued.
This enhancement is applicable to ACR/Detail for IBM i only.
Display #UDS0011 with the Actual Number of Keys for RLQ Job
For #UDS001I message, instead of displaying the accumulated number of keys for each RLQ job, the actual number of keys selected for the RLQ job is displayed.
Display Number of Keys Stored and Deleted in SYSOUT
This enhancement counts the number of records that are deleted/added/changed on the history file, and prints the totals in the SYSOUT at the end of the job.
Generate History Items for a Range of Relative Cycles
This new functionality is used to specify the history retrieval for a range of relative cycles. A new field called “Generate Thru” is added to the History Items panel. This field is a three-digit number (-998 to +000) that identifies the highest relative cycle within the range you wish to generate the history. When the Generate Thru cycle is specified, a set of consecutive history items are generated. One history item is generated for each relative cycle that falls within the range.
This feature is not applicable to File Control Balancing.
Generate Standard Rules for a Range Comparison of History Items
Range comparison is a new feature in the Standard Rule. It enables you to create multiple rules quickly without entering their information individually. Range comparison is allowed in the RHS of a comparison equation, and works with history items only.
For example: E-xxx: E-yyy
When range comparison is specified in the RHS, a set of consecutive rules are generated. One rule is generated for each history item specified in the range. Range comparison is not applicable to File Control Balancing.
Compare to Key Return Code for RLQ Processing
In the previous releases, the job (base) highest Return Code (RC) was used to determine the reconciliation level (RLQ) that should be performed when the return code range was specified. This enhancement allows ACR™ to kick off the RLQ job based on the key return code. A ‘Use Key return Code’ indicator is added in Reconciliation Level Qualifier Information.
Freeform Output File (UNIDAT2)
‘Suppress positive sign’ indicator, ‘Suppress leading zeros’ indicator and ‘Replace leading zeros with blanks’ indicator are added for numeric item value of the following item types:
- Internal item (format - count, amount)
- Extended internal item (format - count, amount)
- History item (format - count, amount)
- Calculated item (format - count, amount)
- Rule variance (all formats)
These 3 indicators are available during the generation of the freeform output file (UNIDAT2). If ‘the Suppress positive sign’ indicator is Yes, positive sign is not be generated. If the ‘Suppress leading zeros’ indicator is Yes, leading zeros are suppressed during file generation. If the ‘Replace leading zeros with blanks’ indicator is Yes, leading zeros are replaced with blanks.
Suppress Printing Column Detail and Key Break Line for User Report
To suppress printing the column detail, a new indicator is added to the User Report Column Information to indicate whether the column value is printed.
To suppress printing the key break line, a new indicator is added to the User Report Key Break Information to indicate whether the accumulated column totals is printed. If the printing of the accumulated column totals is suppressed, a blank line is printed instead.
Allow Comments to Improve Readability of Definitions
To improve the readability of the definition editor, comments are allowed for access modes 6 and 7 if the input source is not a DB2® table. In the definition editor (e.g. Extract Window and Expert File Editor in MVS™), user can enter comments for the following field types:
- Selection field
- Reformat field
- Key field
- Detail field
A maximum of 195 characters are allowed for the comment field. When the file definitions are displayed (View/Definition in MVS), the comments are displayed along with the definition. Line commands (e.g. D, S, C, and M) are not allowed on the comment line.
Allow Mixed Format Translation for Internal Translation Table
In the previous releases, the Internal Translation Table supported only ‘text- to-text’ and ‘numeric-to-numeric’ translations. In this release, the Internal Translation Table has been enhanced to support ‘numeric-to-text’ and ‘text-to-numeric’ translations.
If the user wants to convert a text to a date, and output the translated value with Print Format Date, the translated value should be the numeric equivalent of a date in date count.
If the user wants to convert a text to a time and output the translated value with Print Format Time or Date &Time, the translated value should be the numeric equivalent of a time in centisecond.
In the translation table, for a numeric value, the number is prefixed with a ‘+’ or ‘-‘sign, and it can be 30 bytes that includes up to 9 decimal places. For a text value, it can be up to 80 bytes.
Allow Time Conversion Utility access from Calculated Item and Standard Rule
A new “TimeCsec” button is added to Calculated Item/Formula Dialog. A new “TimeCsec” button is added to the Standard Rule/Comparison Dialog.
The existing time conversion utility has two available options:
• Option 1 – Convert days/time to centiseconds
• Option 2 – Convert centiseconds to days/time
This enhancement is applicable to Windows GUI only.
Debug Indicator in JCL
A new parameter DEBUG is added to the JCL parms for the File Interface Balancing job (SUM2000) and the Reconciliation job (DET2000). For Windows GUI, the optional debug indicators may be added as runtime overrides.
For ACR/Summary, overall 3 debug indicators can be passed through the DEBUG parameter. The first debug indicator is for the XML writer. The second debug indicator is for the Infogix Visibility API (sending start-of-job message, end-of-job message and report XML messages). The third debug indicator is for the Infogix Assure History API (Infogix Assure History ACR/Summary history retrieval).
For ACR/Detail, overall 2 debug indicators can be passed through the DEBUG parameter. The first debug indicator is for the XML writer. The second debug indicator is for the Infogix Visibility API (sending start-of-job message, end-of-job message and report XML messages).
Batch Utility – Create Comma Delimited Text File
In the previous releases, the ‘Create Comma Delimited Text File’ utility was not supported in IBM i platform. This enhancement is to add the ‘Create Comma Delimited Text File’ utility in IBM i.
This enhancement is applicable to IBM i only.
Display Extraction Variable Name in Extract Window/View/Definition
In the Extract window, the extraction variable name is displayed instead of the extraction variable number. If there is enough space, the first 18 characters of the extraction variable name are displayed. Else the first 12 characters are displayed. If the extraction variable name is missing, extraction variable number is displayed in ‘EXT VAR nnn’ format.
This enhancement is applicable to both ACR/Summary and ACR/Detail for z/OS®, and ACR/Summary for IBM i.
Standardize the Display Format of Extraction Variable in Expert File Editor/View/Definition
In Expert File Editor, extraction variable number continues to display. In this enhancement, Expert File Editor is modified to standardize the display of extraction variable number in ‘EXT VAR nnn’ format.
This enhancement is applicable to both ACR/Summary and ACR/Detail for z/OS only.
Management Report – To Include Jobs Having No Balancing Rules
To pick up the jobs that do not have balancing rules, leave the return code from value blank. All platforms except z/OS already allow this feature.
This enhancement is applicable to both ACR/Summary and ACR/Detail for z/OS only.
Ability to Select from the List of Calculated Items
In the Internal Item and Extended Internal Item screens, user now has the ability to select from a list while assigning a calculated item.
This enhancement is applicable to both ACR/Summary and ACR/Detail for IBM i only.
