Perceive 3.4 enhancements include:
Synchronization of out of sync data entities
The Process Results screen has been enhanced to display out of sync in the result when data entity is out of sync. The out of sync is also displayed in the igx.log and email if the email notification is turned on.
New ACR and ER starter reports
The Execution Details Report is a new Infogix ACR starter report that provides execution details based on the return code.
Item Overview, MatchSet Overview, and MatchSetDetails are the three new Infogix ER starter reports.
- Item Overview Report displays the count of the Open, Suspect, Matched, Closed, and Pending items from current ER data.
- MatchSet Overview Report displays the details of the Matched, Confirmed, and Unconfirmed items in a pie chart.
- MatchSetDetails Report displays the number of items that are automatically and manually matched in a bar chart.
Advanced Process Monitoring and Alerting
The Process Monitoring dashboard contains three donut charts for Data Extract, Data Load, and Report Run processes. Each chart displays the count of the Completed, Failed, and Resolved process status.
Email alert can be setup to the designated email account for solved or unsolved processes. The user can define and preload Process Monitoring report event with daily calendar run for the Aging Unresolved and Unresolved Reports.
Data extract and report run can be managed better by monitoring the status of the different processes and sending out alert for the failed process.
Display the Adhoc row count
The Total Records field in the Adhoc Designer view displays the adhoc row count in the report.
Set the JS_ADHOC_ROW_COUNT property in the IV.properties file to true to enable this feature. This property is set to false by default.
Export All button
All the data entities, data views, extract events, and report events can be exported using the Export All Filtered option from the respective screens.
Infogix Perceive option in the Menu Bar
The Infogix Perceive menu option has been added in the Menu Bar in the Data Management interface. It contains the About Us, Close, Close All, and Logout options.
Browse Documentation has been added as a new option under the Help menu option.
Status Notification in the Extract Event screen
The Status Notification tab in the Extract Event screen provides the option to notify the users with extract event process status through email. The extract run information, success/failure message, and stack trace details can be included in the email.
Report Notification and Status Notification in the Report Event screen
The Report Notification tab provides the option to notify and send the report to the recipient through email. The Notify Report option in the Default Specification screen should be selected to enable this tab. The reports can be saved to Report Repository, Host File System, and FTP Server in the required output format.
The Status Notification tab in the Report Event screen provides the option to notify the users with report event process status through email. The report run information, success/failure message, and stack trace details can be included in the email.
Results table in the Output Result Catalog data entity
The Results Table field can be used to map the results data fields from Infogix Assure source system to the results database table columns in the external database.
Log entry for Clear By Extract process
The Manage Processes screen has been enhanced to add a log entry for the Clear By Extract process.
Display source system UUIDs in the UI
The source system UUID is displayed for all source systems as it is a key field that associates all Infogix Perceive objects. It is a read only field.
Input parameter change in the Report Event screen
The option to enter input parameter in the Report Event screen has been redesigned to be a simple text box to improve the performance. If there are multiple values to be entered, the user need to separate them using a comma.
Support for date/time input controls in report event definition
User can choose the date/time input controls as parameters to schedule the report events.
Display mm/dd/yyyy date format in Adhoc Report
The date format mm/dd/yyyy is now displayed in the Adhoc Report containing Assure data.
Character count in the Data Entity Name field
The number of characters that can be entered in the data entity Name field has been increased from 15 to 40.
Customize the default retention period for data entity
The default retention period when creating a new data entity can now be customized. Set the DATA_ENTITY_RETENTION_PERIOD property in the IV.properties file to Y3, M3, or D3 based on the requirement.
Set Y3 for 3 years, M3 for 3 months, and D3 for D30 days.
Special characters are permitted in the Target UI Password field
All the special characters can now be entered in the Password field in the Target UI screen.
Configuration Independent Product .ear File
This enhancement simplifies console-based WebSphere® deployments across multiple environments. In the prior releases, the .ear file generated by the dist.bat (or dist.sh), contained certain environment specific information that prevented the use of the same .ear file across different environments.
The enhancement provides the ability to re-use the same .ear file across multiple environments, when Infogix products are deployed manually from the WebSphere administrative console. Additionally, the product patching process is simplified as there is only one .ear file that must be patched.
Enforcing Strong Password Usage in Embedded Directory Deployments
The enhancement provides the ability to enforce the use of strong passwords in Embedded Directory deployments.
Enable the EMBEDDED_DIR_STRONG_PASSWORD_SECURITY property to impose strong passwords. You can configure region specific password policy settings, and also define the password complexity. For more information, see the Infogix Properties Guide.
Infogix Administrative Console: Health Checker Improvements
Health Checker feature is now available in Infogix ER, Infogix Insight and Infogix Perceive. You can run health checks to detect general problems at the platform-level such as runtime problems with clustering, database, file systems, and configuration.
Process and Memory Viewer is now Supported on Unix®/Linux®
The Process and Memory Viewer that is accessible from the Infogix Assure administrative console, is now supported for product deployments on the Unix®/Linux® environments.
Platform Thread Resource Usage Optimization
Fewer thread resources are used with Caching, Process Management, and Cluster Commands. Additionally, the platform specific thread names are prefixed with the product name and category. This is particularly helpful to:
- Identify problems when multiple applications run on the same JVM™.
- Analyze Thread Dumps and Heap Dumps.
