In ACR/Summary, you have the option to accumulate values for the same Internal Item in a History Item. This article will cover the steps needed to set up this feature.
z/OS
- Go to the History Item you wish to use to accumulate data or create a new one.
- Set how far back you want to data to accumulate from in the "Relative cycle:" field area (ex: put "-005" if you want to go back 5 days from today).
- Specify the Internal Item you want to accumulate.
- Put Y for "Set advanced features?"
- Press the F5 Key.
Once you hit F5, a small window will pop up. Put S next to "Cycle accumulation" and press the Enter key.
In the next window that pops up, you have 3 options. By default, 3 is what is selected. To activate cycle accumulation, hit either 1 or 2.
- If you hit 1, the History Item will accumulate the Internal Item from the relative cycle you set (in this example, the relative cycle was set for -005) through relative cycle -001, meaning that the cycle -001 will be excluded. Essentially, if you ran the job today, yesterday's values wouldn't be accumulated.
- If you hit 2, the History Item will accumulate the Internal Item from the relative cycle you set through relative cycle +000, meaning the cycle +000 will be excluded. Essentially, if you ran the job today, today's values wouldn't be accumulated.
Press the F5 key.
You now have set up accumulation of values for a History Item on z/OS.

- Set the Source Type to "Internal Item" and set the number of the Internal Item.
- Set how far back you want to data to accumulate from in the "Relative cycle:" field area (ex: put "-005" if you want to go back 5 days from today). By default, it is set to "Do not perform cycle accumulation".
- Under "Accumulation Option", select to retrieve from the relative cycle through -001 or +000.
- If you set accumulation to go through relative cycle -001, the cycle -001 will be excluded. Essentially, if you ran the job today, yesterday's values wouldn't be accumulated.
- If you set accumulate to go through relative cycle +000, the cycle +000 will be excluded. Essentially, if you ran the job today, today's values wouldn't be accumulated.
