In this article, you will be able to send alerts from the Assure application to a designated mobile device. Please note, the setup external to Assure will vary based on your mobile carrier and their external specifications. Also note, if there is any sensitive material set in the alert, all information will also pass through your carriers servers, and may be a security issue for your organization.
Step one:
Specify the type of alerts you want to receive. Albeit text messages, and emails or just text messages.
Please note in the screenshot above, this is specified for the latest version of Assure. The screenshot is aptly stating pager, but there is where you will plug in your carrier information. Assure does not recognize sole carrier telephone numbers and country codes as an acceptable option. In the pager field, the information needs to be entered in a format from your mobile device carrier in the guise of an email address. Ex. 5551234567@carriermail.com.
Step two:
Next you will create a result action and specify a name and action to connect to the alerted control within Assure.
In the next panel, you would want to specify which users or groups should be alerted when there is a failure, completion or any customization alerts.
From the actions pane, after the alert has been specified, you have the option to add addtional alerts and even add logs from the control in question.
Step 3:
Verifying your results.
In the screenshot above, the control in question ran as expected. In a matter of 5 minutes, if your alerts were set properly you should receive a message from 'Infogix@YourCompany.com'.
In the text message screenshot, there is a simple message there. You can modify the notification to read like the email notification by adjusting the 'Actions' tab in the result action specified.

Great article!!! I have been referencing the following site to find out carrier email addresses. This isn't an Infogix website, but you can search for "carrier email to text" to find more sites like it.
