Infogix Assure, Insight, Perceive and ER will check their product licenses to notify in advance of an upcoming expiration. This check is controlled via the "Infogix License Check Schedule" calendar within each product. Out of the box, this calendar is configured to check weekly, specifically on Wednesdays at 8:00am local time. During each check, the products will verify how many days are left in the license and send email notifications if the license is within 90 days of expiration or is expired.
Since each product performs this check independently, and the products are commonly installed in multiple environments, this can yield several notifications per week. For example, having Assure, Insight, Perceive and ER installed in a DEV / TEST / PROD arrangement would yield 12 license warnings per week.
There are two common approaches to decrease the number of expiration warnings:
- Edit the license check calendar to process monthly instead of weekly.
- In non-production environments, set the next occurrence of the license check calendar to several years in the future. The calendar needs a valid future occurrence in order to save. This effectively "disables" the calendar from running.
Each recommendation above greatly reduces the number of license warnings. The recommendations can also be used together to even further reduce the email volume.
