There are multiple occasion when we ask users to clear the cache and indexes from your Data360 Analyze instance and this can be done by following the below steps for the platform you are using
Note : Please do not delete the actual folders mentioned in the instructions below - only delete the content inside the specified folder.
Linux Server
Before we clear cache and indexes the Data360 Analyze instance must be brought down .
Please follow the below steps in sequence to the clear cache and indexes in a Linux environment
1. Shut down Analyze (Click on here section Data360 Analyze Server (Linux) to bring down the instance .
2. Navigate to the directory containing the Analyze application's 'data' directory (referred to as <Path> below) and then drill into each of the subdirectories specified below to clear the contents of the cache and indexes.
(i) Deleting the cache
If you are using Data360 Analyze v.3.8.x or above delete the contents of the following folder
<Path>/data-7731/webapp/cache/
If you are using Data360 Analyze V.3.6.x then only delete the contents of the following folder
<Path>/data-7731/webapp/cache/infinispan
you can delete the content the highlighted section from the path (screenshot for reference)
(ii) Deleting the indexes
To delete the indexes, navigate to the following folder (regardless of which version of Data360 Analyze is being used)
<Path>/data-7731/webapp/repository/infinispan/indexes

3. Startup Analyze (Click on here - section Data360 Analyze Server (Linux) to bring up the instance.
Windows Server:
Please follow the below steps further in sequence to clear the cache and indexes in a Windows Server environment.
Before we clear cache the Data360 Analyze instance must be brought down .
1. Shut down Analyze (Click on here for the steps to shutdown the Analyze instance)
2. Navigate to the directory containing the Analyze application's 'data' directory (referred to as <Path> below). The actual location depends on the choice made during the installation but for example this may be:
C:\Users\<username>\Data360Analyze\
Then drill into each of the subdirectories specified below to clear the contents of the cache and indexes
(i) Deleting the cache
If you are using Data360 Analyze v.3.8.x or above delete the contents of the following folder
<Path>\data-7731\webapp\cache
If you are using Data360 Analyze V.3.6.x then only delete the contents of the following folder
<Path>\data-7731\webapp\cache\infinispan
(ii) Deleting the indexes
To delete the indexes, navigate to the following folder (regardless of which version of Data360 Analyze is being used)
<Path>\data-7731\webapp\repository\infinispan\indexes
Note: the directories specified above may be hidden by default on Windows. Do not delete the specified directories - only delete the content within the directories.
3. Startup Analyze(Click on here for the steps to shutdown the analyze instance)
Windows Desktop:
Please follow the below steps further in sequence to clear the cache and indexes in a Windows Desktop environment.
Before we clear cache the Data360 Analyze instance must be brought down .
1. Shut down Analyze (Click on here for the steps to shutdown the Analyze instance)
2. Navigate to the directory containing the Analyze application's 'data' directory. The location of the 'data' directory depends on the choice made during the installation of the product. One way in which you can locate the 'data' directory is by opening a File Explorer window and then pasting the following in the address bar:
%localappdata%\Data360Analyze\site\data
then drill into each of the subdirectories specified below to clear the contents of the cache and indexes
(i) Deleting the cache
If you are using Data360 Analyze v.3.8.x or above
Delete everything inside the below location
%localappdata%\Data360Analyze\site\data\webapp\cache
e.g. (if Analyze was installed for All Users)
Path : C:\ProgramData\Data360Analyze\site\data\webapp\cache
or inside the below location (if Analyze was installed for the Local User)
Path : C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Data360Analyze\site\data\webapp\cache
If you are using Data360 Analyze v.3.6.x
Delete everything inside the below location
%localappdata%\Data360Analyze\site\data\webapp\cache\infinispan
e.g. inside here (if Analyze was installed for All Users)
Path : C:\ProgramData\Data360Analyze\site\data\webapp\cache\infinispan
or inside the below location (if Analyze was installed for the Local User)
Path : C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Data360Analyze\site\data\webapp\cache\infinispan
(ii) Deleting the indexes
These instructions apply regardless of the version of Data360 Analyze you are using.
Delete everything inside the below location
%localappdata%\Data360Analyze\site\data\webapp\repository\infinispan\indexes
e.g. here (if Analyze was installed for All Users)
Path : C:\ProgramData\Data360Analyze\site\data\webapp\repository\infinispan\indexes
or inside the below location (if Analyze was installed for the Local User)
Path : C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\site\data\webapp\repository\infinispan\indexes
Note: the directories specified above may be hidden by default on Windows. Do not delete the specified directories - only delete the content within the directories.
3. Startup Analyze(Click on here for the steps to shutdown the analyze instance)
