What’s New?
This Generally Available Long Term Support (LTS) maintenance release provides a number of operational, performance and stability improvements, including:
- Support for the new Database Profiler Node
- Audit log improvements
- Signposting of Connection Points with active filters
- Access to Library Path settings from any point in a data flow
- Ability to enable/suspend the Scheduler in the UI or using the REST API.
Node Enhancements
Database Profiler Node
The Database Profiler node node examines database data to determine its data type and statistical composition. The node can be used to profile the metadata of a database via a JDBC connection.
The node provides three output pins.
- The analysis output pin provides an output record for each field that has been profiled
- The detail output pin details the profile information in JSON format
- The errors output pin details any analysis errors that occurred during the profiling.
Application Enhancements
Connection Points
When a filter is applied to the data sets passing through a Connection Point, the Connection Point is now displayed with a blue background. This helps to differentiate Connection Points with filters from those where all data sets are being passed to downstream nodes.
Audit Log Improvements
TThe information recorded in the Audit log now includes a three system backup audit events:
- backupWaiting
- backupStarted
- backupFinished.
This enables you to monitor the progress and status of the system backup routine.
Library Paths
Previously, Library Paths were only shown in the Properties > Configure tab when the canvas navigation was at the top level within the data flow and no nodes were selected.
Library Paths are now also shown in the Data Flow > Configure tab; enabling you to view and edit the Library Paths from any point in the data flow and without deselecting nodes.
Scheduler Management
Users with the Administrator role can now enable/disable the Scheduler from within the Data360 Analyze UI.
REST APIs are now available that enable an external system to suspend, resume and get the status of the Scheduler. See the API documentation for details.
