The ACR/Summary Modeling feature can be used in place of copying the definitions. The Modeling feature allows multiple balancing jobs to reference file definitions and/or job definitions. The ability to reference existing definitions reduces coding, saves space on the definition database, and also helps with maintaining definitions.
If definitions need to be changed, you can go to one job and make the changes. Then, all of your jobs that model the changed job will automatically obtain the new definitions. This eliminates the need to go to each job and make the changes individually.
Keep in mind that every definition across jobs does not need to be identical in order to use Modeling. However, you must first define the core set of definitions that will be used as the base-level job. The jobs that model the base-level job must use all the definitions in the base, but you can add definitions as needed. To learn more about modeling, please review your ACR/Summary User Guide.
