Data360 Analyze 3.8.2 release is now available.
Product downloads are available within our Data360 Analyze Download section.
This Generally Available Long Term Support (LTS) maintenance release provides a number of enhancements and operational, performance and stability improvements, including:
- New Query for Salesforce node
- New Output Tableau node and Upload Tableau node with .hyper file support
- Additional capabilitities for profiling database metadata.
Query for Salesforce Node
The Query for Salesforce node is a replacement for the ‘Data 360 Get for Salesforce node’ which is now Superseded.
The SOQL query can be specified as a literal value in the ‘Query’ property. Alternatively, when the ‘Query (from field)’ source option is used for the ‘Query’ property, the SOQL query can be obtained from a specified input field.
The Query for Salesforce node uses the Connected App flow and OAuth 2.0 authorization to access the Salesforce REST API.
The SfdcUsername, SfdcPassword, SfdcClientId and SfdcClientSecret fields are mandatory properties. See the node Help documentation for further details.
You can specify which fields will be used for the output in a situation where no records are returned from Salesforce.
The Salesforce API version can be specified. By default, the version is set to latest available version.
You optionally can specify a connection timeout. The node does not apply a connection timeout by default.
The node supports the use of retries to mitigate a range of conditions including:
- Receipt of HTTP status (4xx / 5xx) errors
- Network errors (e.g. socket or connection timeout)
- Any HTTP status error or a network error.
You can specify the maximum total amount of time to attempt to retry a failed request regardless of the number of attempts.
You can also specify how the node changes the retry delays with subsequent errors.
Output Tableau Node
A new ‘Output Tableau’ node allows Data360 Analyze to output data in the Tableau .hyper file format.
The original ‘Output Tableau’ node is now classified as Superseded. The node has been renamed to the ‘Output Tableau (Superseded)’ node and is displayed in the node library when the ‘Show Superseded Nodes’ option has been checked in the node library’s context menu.
You must specify the Tableau output file to which you want to output the data. You can use the ExtractFilePath (from field) source option to obtain the filename from an input field**. The specified directory must exist. You can set the FileExistsBehavior property to overwrite an existing file.
You can optionally specify the SchemaName. You can use the SchemaName (from field) source option to obtain the filename from an input field**.
You must specify the table name for the extract. You can use the TableName (from field) source option to obtain the filename from an input field**.
** Note: the field value must be the same for all input records.
Upload Tableau Node
A new ‘Upload Tableau’ node allows Data360 Analyze to upload Tableau .hyper files to a Tableau Server.
Database Profiler Node
You can now specify a (comma-separated) list of Tables or Views that will be ignored when profiling a database.
Note, you can configure the node to either use TableViewFilter or ExcludedTablesViews - but not both.
The AnayzeCLI command line interface tool now supports searching across all imported dataflows. Searches can be by nodeName, nodeType or paramValue. See help -k search in the AnalyzeCli tool for examples.
Improved Support for Run Property Sets
The AnalyzeCLI capabilities for handling Run Property Sets has been extended to allow you to:
Create a Run Property Set from a definition in a file
Replace an existing Run Property Set (This includes replacing from a file)
Delete a Run Property Set.
The ‘Data360 Get for Salesforce’ node has been Superseded and has been renamed to the ‘Data360 Get for Salesforce (Superseded)’ node.
- Similar functionality is provided by the new ‘Query for Salesforce’ node.
The ‘Output Tableau’ node has been Superseded and has been renamed to the ‘Output Tableau (Superseded)’ node.
- A new ‘Output Tableau’ allows Data360 Analyze to output data in the Tableau .hyper file format.
- The new ‘Upload Tableau’ node provides integration with a Tableau Server using .hyper files.
