A new release of Govern will be applied to DEV/UAT environments on Friday February 18th at 5:00 p.m. EST.  The release to Production will be on Friday February 25th.  A separate notification will be sent regarding Production.

Custom Fields on Groups

Have you ever wanted to define extra fields on your groups?  Now you can!  You now have the ability to define custom fields on your groups. As we added that capability we took the opportunity to freshen up the screens, making it more user friendly and consistent with the rest of the interface.  Not only can you define them, you can use them in responsibility rules.  The custom fields are available in the THEN filters so you can further define which groups are assigned to specific responsibilities.

Semantic Types

Introducing the ability to classify assets with a fully defined semantic type.   Semantic types management is now available from the primary navigation.  In this release predefined semantic types are available and can be viewed from that page.

If the semantic type in the profiling data for an asset matches a predefined semantic definition you will be able to see all of its information straight from the profiling panel.

Threshold Based Data Quality Scoring 

Data Quality scoring has been enhanced with the ability to calculate a measure result based on a pass threshold.  This allows for a threshold to be defined for a specific rule dimension, and to weight it appropriately for an accurate score.
